Napoli’s search for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s replacement has intensified, with Hakim Ziyech now emerging as a potential target. The Georgian star’s imminent departure to Paris Saint-Germain has prompted the Napoli management to explore various options to fill the void.
Calciomercato report that Sporting director Manna is keen to provide a high-caliber reinforcement for manager Antonio Conte, who expressed his disappointment over Kvaratskhelia’s contract situation in a recent press conference. Conte lamented, “The contract should have been renewed, but after six months we’re back to square one. It means I wasn’t persuasive enough in convincing both parties to move forward together.”
While names like Federico Chiesa, Wenderson Galeno, Edon Zhegrova, and Alejandro Garnacho have been circulating, Ziyech’s situation at Galatasaray has caught Napoli’s attention. The Moroccan international is reportedly at odds with his current club and seems destined for a January exit.
Ziyech’s recent comments about Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk highlight the strained relationship: “It’s over for me. I told him I’m leaving in January. They don’t ask anything of me anymore; I do what I want. I’ve never seen such a poor coach.”
With Kvaratskhelia’s move to PSG expected to be finalized in the coming week, Napoli’s interest in Ziyech is likely to intensify. The 31-year-old winger could provide the experience and skill needed to soften the blow of losing their Georgian talisman.
