There was concern for Napoli midfielder after he withdrew from the Poland training camp with a respiratory infection. La Gazzetta dello Sport report that
“The player has returned to Naples in the last few hours, where he will be further evaluated by the club’s doctors. His condition is not a cause for concern at the moment, however, the consequences have not yet been absorbed and that is why he did not take part in today’s training session with his national team, nor will he take the field for the friendly against Latvia scheduled for Tuesday.
“Zielinski had already missed the match against the Czech Republic, valid for the qualification for the upcoming European Championship. Coach Mihcal Probierz had explained the midfielder’s exclusion after the match: “Since this morning Piotr has not been feeling well. We tried to recover him with the staff, but in the end the decision was not to force it’. It was specifically an upper respiratory tract infection, for which he was promptly treated.”
