Zhang refinances loan, ready to take Inter on tour of China

Start

Inter president Steven Zhang is close to refinancing his loan with Oaktree and is set to take the Nerazzurri on a tour of China next summer. Reports from Italy suggest that Zhang is advancing on the path of refinancing, an idea that had initially been dismissed but now appears to be the most likely scenario.

Calciomercato report that encouraging signals have emerged, indicating a certain continuity, such as the presence in the stands of prominent figures closely associated with the Inter ownership. Zhang intends to stay in charge and is actively working towards this end, with refinancing through OakTree being the most probable route. However, other possibilities involving different credit institutions willing to take over the debt cannot be ruled out.

There are no doubts at Viale della Liberazione regarding the green light, as the Nerazzurri are already making strides on their plans for an Asian tour, which will see Inter land in China next summer. This tour has been strongly advocated by Steven Zhang, as the president won’t be in Milan, even for the potential celebrations of their second star. It’s a regret that Zhang will try to mitigate by taking Inter to China. It will also be a way to further strengthen the brand in a vast territory.

Last week, representatives from the Nerazzurri departed for Chengdu, known as the ‘city of the panda’ in China, the capital of Sichuan province. The feedback upon their return was excellent; the training center left a positive impression on the delegation from Milan, which can only work in Inter’s favour. The tour to Chengdu is scheduled for the last week of July. Inter are gearing up to continue in the name of Zhang.
