Zhang invites all Inter employees to Champions League final

Start

Inter president Steven Zhang has invited all of the clubs employee’s to their Champions League final against Manchester City on June 10. The Nerazzuri president reportedly wants all of the Inter ‘family’ present, and all 500 or so of the clubs employees will be invited to Istanbul to watch them take on the Citizens. The club will charter planes to depart from Milan’s Malpensa airport for the return flight, as La Gazzetta dello Sport write:

“For the president these are intense days, between official commitments in preparation for Istanbul and the many issues on the table, starting with the clubs shirt which is to be filled with a new main sponsor. However, refinancing the loan will be one of Steven’s other games in the future, but in the meantime the president savors this Champions League to the fullest. It will have to be celebrated in any case with the employees and that pushes revenues from sponsors and TV rights in 2022-23: they declined by €0.9 million (-0.5 percent) to 178, for the nine months ended March 31, 2023, compared to 179 million for the nine months at the same point in the previous year.”

“The news, however, is that Inter’s Champions League went much further, until late June. And patience for that drop in the detail of “indirect” revenues from Uefa: from €58.2 million to €53.9, is due to the fact that the €4 million fine defined by the Settlement Agreement was withheld. For that matter, it is the next comment that especially makes Zhang smile: “The positive impact of the team’s further progression in the Champions League will be recorded in the fourth quarter,” the document closes.”
