Zanetti: “Inter aim to be protagonists in the Champions League”

Inter Milan’s Vice President Javier Zanetti shared his thoughts on the club’s current season and their ambitions for the new Champions League format. Speaking to Sky Sport at the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix qualifications in Monza, where he presented the pole position award to driver Lando Norris, Zanetti expressed optimism about Inter’s prospects.

Reflecting on Inter’s recent 4-0 victory over Atalanta in Serie A, Zanetti stated, “I’m happy about last night. It was a great performance from our team. We hope to continue like this.”

Looking ahead to the upcoming fixtures, the former Inter captain commented, “There’s the international break and then the derby. We’re used to preparing for every match in great detail, thanks to the excellent work of our coach.”

Zanetti then turned his attention to Inter’s Champions League campaign, expressing the club’s ambitions: “We want to be protagonists. We’ve created the conditions to do so. We’ll face great teams, but we’ll be ready.”
