Zalewski rejects Galatasaray offer, opts to stay at Roma

Start

Nicola Zalewski has decided to remain with AS Roma, turning down a lucrative offer from Turkish club Galatasaray. Despite intense negotiations and a significant financial proposal, the Polish winger has chosen to continue his career in the Italian capital under the guidance of manager Daniele De Rossi.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Galatasaray had sent representatives to Rome on Thursday, September 12, in a last-minute attempt to secure Zalewski’s services before the Turkish transfer window closes on September 13. The club’s emissaries met with Roma officials, and an agreement between the two clubs was reportedly close to being finalized.

However, despite the attractive economic package offered by Galatasaray, Zalewski has expressed his preference to stay with Roma. The young player appears committed to fighting for his place in De Rossi’s squad and continuing his development in Serie A.

With Zalewski’s decision to remain in Rome, Galatasaray is now exploring alternative options to strengthen their left-back position. Mario Rui of Napoli remains a target for the Turkish side, while AC Milan’s Fodé Ballo-Touré has emerged as a potential last-minute solution. Reports suggest that Galatasaray representatives may meet with Milan officials to discuss a possible deal for Ballo-Touré.
