There is still all to play for in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League this season, but which of the Serie A teams have the best chance of lifting a European trophy come the end of the campaign?
The Premier League look to have a strong hand this season and they currently have the Champions League favourite (Liverpool), both Europa League favourites (Man United and Tottenham) and the Conference League favourites (Chelsea) but can any of the Serie A teams who are still in European competition lift one of the three trophies?
Champions League
Both AC Milan and Juventus finished in the play-offs of the Champions League group stage so they need to negotiate Feyenoord and PSV if they are to make it to the last 16, where Inter Milan are already qualified after finishing fourth in the group. Atalanta just missed out on an automatic place in the last 16 after finishing ninth in the group stage. Bologna finished 28th in the group so they have been eliminated from the competition.
In the latest Champions League betting odds, Inter Milan are 14/1 to win the tournament, Atalanta 33/1 and both AC Milan and Juventus are 70/1. These odds will all shorten if the sides make it through the play-offs but with Inter just a point off top spot in Serie A as well, it looks like they have the best chance of winning the Champions League from the Italian point of view.
Europa League
Into the Europa League and it was Lazio that impressed the most, topping the table and giving themselves what should be a favourable round of 16 fixture. They’re also having a strong domestic season, sitting in fourth place in the Serie A table. Roma had a disappointing group stage campaign and were lucky to sneak into the play-off round where they now face a tricky two legged tie against FC Porto.
In the Europa League betting odds, Lazio are the fourth favourites to lift the trophy at 8/1, with Roma 18/1 to win the Europa League. They face that tricky tie against Porto and if they can navigate that, they’ll hope to put their domestic form to one side and go a long way in the competition.

Conference League
Twice runners-up Fiorentina are once again flying the flag for Serie A in the Conference League and they finished third in the group stage, meaning a passage straight to the knockout stages. Chelsea are the strong favourites to win the competition, but Fiorentina are the 5/1 second favourites and it might be third time lucky for the Serie A side. They lost the first-ever final to Olympiacos in extra time before losing in the final 12 months later to a last-minute West Ham winner.
It looks like Fiorentina have the best chance of the Italian sides to win European silverware this season but they will want to avoid Chelsea for as long as possible as we get deeper into the tournament.
