Weston McKennie gives go ahead to Leeds move

Start

Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has reportedly given his ‘OK’ to joining Premier League side Leeds United. The news follows reports yesterday that the two clubs were in talks over a potential move but were still negotiating a fee for the USA international.

Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claims Leeds have opened talks with the Bianconeri, for the 24-year-old who has long been linked with a move away from Turin, following a disappointing few seasons.

Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham have all been linked with a move for the midfielder, but it seems Leeds are now leading the chase to sign him.

Sky Sport Italia suggest Juve are asking for between €30-40m to part with McKennie and talks are continuing between the clubs, however the player has given his go ahead to the move.

McKennie initially joined The Old Lady on loan in 2020 and has made 96 appearances over three seasons, scoring 8 goals in all competitions.
