Premier League side West Ham are in talks to sign Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca this summer. The Italy international was closely linked with a move to PSG and had reportedly agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 champions.
While a deal was thought to be very close to completion, PSG have yet to agree a fee with the Neroverdi, despite having made an initial offer of €45m.
The Guardian and a number of other English and Italian publications report that West Ham have made a bid to sign Scamacca as coach David Moyes ‘wants to bring in more competition for Michail Antonio up front.’
The 23-year-old spent the early parts of his career on loan before having a breakout season with Sassuolo, scoring 16 goals in 38 appearances and making his way into the Italian national side.
