“We Know What’s Needed”: Ibrahimovic Talks Milan’s Transfer Strategy

Start

AC Milan Senior Advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic addressed transfer rumors surrounding the club in a pre-match interview with DAZN before the game against Juventus. The Swedish football legend discussed potential moves for Kyle Walker and the future of Fikayo Tomori.

Regarding Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, Ibrahimovic acknowledged the widespread interest in the player: “Everyone knows Walker is a great player: Manchester City, Tottenham, England… There’s a lot of interest.” He emphasized that pursuing Walker aligns with the club’s strategy, stating, “It doesn’t go against our strategy and vision. He’s a leader and dominates the locker room. We’ll see what can be done.”

Ibrahimovic also touched on Milan’s overall transfer strategy, revealing ongoing communication with manager Sergio Conceição: “We talk to Conceição every day. We know what’s needed, and we’re working on it.” He humorously added, “The more I talk, the more players cost. New names come out every day, and agents play their game. The team is strong and proved it in the Supercoppa.”

When asked about Fikayo Tomori, who has been linked with a move away from the club, Ibrahimovic was firm in his response: “He’s our player. He’s happy at Milan and has been playing well lately. He had a bit of a rough patch under Fonseca, but now he’s doing well and the coach likes him.”
