In the aftermath of Juventus’ 3-0 win against Verona, star striker Dusan Vlahovic and young talent Nicolò Savona shared their thoughts on the match and the team’s evolving style of play.
Vlahovic, who was named Man of the Match, praised Savona’s performance in his debut, highlighting the goal scored by the newcomer. The Serbian forward then discussed the team’s new approach under manager Thiago Motta, stating, “We’re definitely playing a different game, but this doesn’t take away from last year when we also did well. In the first match, I didn’t score and was a bit unlucky. Today, I’m happy with how we conducted ourselves, our attitude, and the result is a consequence of our work.”
Emphasizing the importance of attitude, Vlahovic added, “I don’t want this to be misinterpreted, but we’re certainly working hard on our mentality. You can’t get that wrong. After attitude comes everything else. If you’re mentally present, everything comes easier. This is the most important thing, along with team unity and the tactical aspects we’re aware of.”
Savona, who scored on his debut, revealed an interesting detail about his goal. “He [Vlahovic] told me he didn’t touch it, so I have to say he left it for me,” the young player explained, showing the camaraderie within the team. Describing his emotions, Savona simply stated, “It’s definitely a dream. We hope to continue like this.”
