Vlahovic: ‘I want to continue in the same way at Juventus’

Start

Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic was on excellent form for his country over the international break. Having scored three goals in Serbia’s opening two matches of their Euro 2024 qualifiers, the 23-year-old is keen to continue his goalscoring form as he heads back to Serie A with Juve. Vlahovic has scored just one goal in his last eight matches for the Bianconeri and has scored just eight goals in the league so far this term. However, he did score both goals for Serbia in their 2-0 win over Montenegro on Monday and in an interview, as quoted by Sport Italia, he has stated that he wants to ‘continue in the same way for Juventus.’

Rumours have circulated that the Old Lady are willing to sell their star forward this summer since Vlahovic is yet to reach the same level as he did with Fiorentina. If Juve fail to qualify for the Champions League next term, a number of Europe’s top clubs are thought to have been interested in the player and he could be in line to leave Turin.

“The match was very difficult, as we expected, we knew that Montenegro are excellent opponents and that they could create difficulties for us on their pitch. We are very happy to have won and to have closed this mini-cycle with two victories and six points. Now I want to go back to Serie A. I want to continue in the same way at Juventus. There was a bad period, but now everything is fine.”
