Victor Osimhen’s agent met with Paris Saint-Germain director Luis Campos last week to discuss a potential transfer. The Napoli striker is one of the most in-demand players at present and leads Serie A in the race for the capocanniere title.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Roberto Calenda, Osimhen’s agent, met with PSG last week to assess the future of the player, who is being linked with a number of potential moves, especially from a Premier League perspective. The meeting was also reportedly kept secret from Napoli until now, with the Partenopei valuing their leading goalscorer at around €150 million.
The report highlights the good relations between Campos and Calenda which stem from the latter’s work during the Osimhen-Napoli deal, which saw the inclusion of three youngsters (Liguori, Palmieri and Manzi) as part of the deal with Lille.
Osimhen has not hidden his desire to play in the Premier League, and added to the speculation when being presented with the ‘Best Foreign Athlete of the Year’ by the Italian Foreign Press Association:
“I think playing in one of the top five leagues in the world is an amazing feeling for me.
“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A.
“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”
