Veronique Rabiot, mother and agent of Adrien Rabiot, has issued a pointed reply to comments made by Juventus manager Thiago Motta regarding her son’s potential return to the club. The French midfielder left Juventus as a free agent when his contract expired on June 30th, and has yet to find a new team.
During a recent press conference, Motta was asked about the possibility of Rabiot returning to Juventus. The manager stated that Rabiot hadn’t contacted him, and while he liked him as a person and player, Rabiot had chosen a different path. Motta wished him success in finding a team where he could be happy and express his talent.
In response, Veronique Rabiot told L’Equipe, “There’s no need to close the door, returning to Juventus was never an option we considered. When we make decisions, we take responsibility for them.” Her sharp retort effectively shut down any speculation about a potential reunion between Rabiot and his former club.
Adrien Rabiot spent five seasons with Juventus before becoming a free agent this summer. As an unattached player, he can sign with a new team until December. However, should he join a Champions League club, he would be ineligible to play in the competition until February, as all participating teams have already submitted their player lists.
