Buducnost Podgorica and Montenegro teenager Vasilije Adzic is expected in Turin next week to complete his Juventus transfer. The Bianconeri have reportedly beaten competition from Bologna to secure the signing of the young talent, having offered close to €5 million to secure the young talent.
Goal Italia’s Romeo Agresti reports that the deal is done, and the 17-year-old will arrive in Italy in the second week of January to complete his medical.
The player is expected to remain with Buducnost for the rest of the 2023-24 campaign before joining the Bianconeri youth setup for next season.
His agent seemingly confirmed the move in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, saying:
“Right now he is a player who can play both as a ten and as a second second striker, but in the future he can become a top mezzala. He has a huge physical quality, runs twelve kilometers per game and he does it in a minor league. He runs and is doing important things, he is growing and you can see him in the national team: he will turn 18 only in 2024 but he already plays for the Montenegro Under 21.
“Juve is Juve, it is clear that there are many clubs are interested, but the Bianconeri is one of the most important European clubs. But I have to make a clarification…”
“He’ll stay here another six months. He does not have a community passport, will turn 18 only in May and for this reason only in the summer will be able to leave the current club.
“Comparisions? It’s hard to say now, also because it will be necessary to understand how his future coaches will decide to use him. I’m just saying that Montenegro is a land where important talents such as Savicevic and Mijatovic, Vucinic and Jovetic have grown. You haven’t seen a young man so ready and talented here for the last 10-15 years. He will become an important player.”
