Paolo Vanoli analyzed Torino success in Venice after securing a 1-0 victory against his former club. The win propelled Torino to the top of the Serie A table, at least temporarily, with seven points from three matches.

Despite the positive result, Vanoli challenged his players to maintain consistency, stating, “We need to understand the difficulties we face against these teams. We can’t only deliver great performances against the big clubs in the championship. Our journey depends especially on matches against these types of opponents.”

The coach praised his team’s resilience while acknowledging room for improvement: “I congratulate the boys on the victory. A coach can demand to play beautifully, but certain matches can also be won with the classic Torino DNA. We work day after day to build our character and mentality.”

Vanoli also addressed the impact of Torino’s previous matches against Milan and Atalanta, noting, “The games against Milan and Atalanta were very demanding and drained us a lot psychologically and physically. Having few substitutions, I think we paid the price of fatigue.”

Regarding the transfer market, Vanoli expressed satisfaction: “I think we have worked well in the market. It will be important to integrate the new players.”

The coach singled out Coco, who scored the winning goal, for praise: “He has presented himself very well in a very difficult championship, which was not a given.”

Goalkeeper Milinkovic Savic, who made crucial saves during the match, also received recognition from Vanoli. The keeper himself commented on his performance, saying, “There are matches that you need to know how to win like this. The game against Venezia was a difficult challenge against a well-organized team. It’s important to know how to make the most of set pieces, considering all the preparation behind them.” He added, “I don’t count the number of saves I make. For me, what matters is helping the team. I’m happy for the MVP award.”
