Juventus are La Liga side Valencia are in talks over a deal for Brazilian midfielder Arthur, who looks set to leave this summer. The 25-year-old has struggled to settle at Juve since making the move two years ago and the suggestion in the Italian press is that he will finally be leaving Turin.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Juve-Arthur story is nearing an end as Valencia are looking for a player with Arthur’s characteristics and have entered into talks with the Bianconeri to find a solution.
The deal is expected to be complicated as Arthur’s salary is around €6m with bonuses that bring it close to €8m per season. The figure is considered too high for Valencia, who are only considering loaning the player for a season, but Juve could pay a portion of the salary to make the deal work.
Other options remain for the midfielder, including Ligue 1 side Monaco and Premier League club Arsenal who hold a long-standing interest in the player.
