A number of US funds are interested in investing in Serie A side Napoli according to the latest reports in Italy. The Partenopei are eight points clear at the top of the table and into the last 16 of the Champions League with many dubbing them the best team in Europe at present. Il Corriere dello Sport (Via IlNapolista) report that several funds are following the progress of Napoli who are seen as a ‘club with futuristic vision’.
The report states that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis made a trip to the US recently and did listen to potential investors, having already rejected a €900m offer to buy the club in 2019.
Corriere write that the interest of U.S. funds in Napoli ended up on Mergermarket, a service that is described as a global subscription portal dealing with mergers and acquisitions-a bible for insiders.
Napoli are viewed as a growing company, intent on “building a new stadium,” and there are reportedly ‘no shortage of suitors’ with a suggestion that something could happen in a years time.
