UEFA deputy secretary Giorgio Marchetti says Juventus will ‘be judged like all clubs’, following the investigations into their transfer dealings and ‘salary maneuvers’. The Old Lady are in the process of appealing against the 15-point deduction handed out by the FIGC court last month for allegedly falsifying their capital gains and are also the subject of the ongoing Prisma investigation relating to allegedly paying their players under the table during the COVID pandemic.
Speaking to La Politica nel Pallone (via Calciomercato) Marchetti confirmed that UEFA are waiting to make a decision on the Bianconeri and that they will be judged like all other clubs:
“There are ongoing investigations that have not yet been concluded against Juventus, there is a ruling already made and which I understand will be appealed. We will wait to see the documentation of all the files.
“UEFA must behave respecting the regulations. We are waiting to see if there are any profiles regarding the UEFA regulations. Juve will be judged like all clubs”.
“The Superleague project? It’s up to them (Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus) to decide what they want to do, these are three fundamental clubs for European football. But an attempt to approach them does not depend on UEFA’.”
