The agent of Tottenham Hotspur full-back Destiny Udogie says Spurs’ position on the player is clear, but Italian clubs have been in contact. The 20-year-old signed for the North London club last summer, but was loaned back to Udinese for a further season and was expected to make the move to Spurs this summer.
Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, agent Stefano Antonelli confirmed that his client is expected to move to the Premier League ahead of next season, but revealed that Italian clubs have been in contact about the young talent:
“Udogie’s situation is clear, he is a Tottenham player and we had contact over the last few days because they changed management and the coach will play 4-3-3 rather than 3-5-2.
“Postecoglu is absolutely convinced that Udogie will have space, but the Italian clubs are calling because some feel he needs another step before making the move, perhaps in a top club like Juve, Milan or Inter.
“I received a call from the Tottenham technical area today and asked us to confirm the plan, which is to go on tour in Thailand. They guarantee the importance of the player as of today, and we will evaluate everything, but he is a Tottenham player.”
