Udinese shift focus to Isaak Touré after van Breemen deal falls through

Start

Udinese continue to be active in the transfer market as they seek to strengthen their defensive options. The Italian club has reportedly cooled their interest in van Breemen and is now turning their attention to Isaak Touré of Lorient.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Friulian side have initiated new contacts with Lorient regarding a potential move for Touré, a 21-year-old French defender. Udinese are exploring the possibility of a loan deal with an option to buy for the promising center-back.

Touré, born in Gonesse, France, developed his skills in Le Havre’s youth academy before making his Ligue 1 debut with Marseille. He then gained valuable experience with Auxerre, making 20 appearances in the following season.

Last season, Touré featured 24 times for Lorient, contributing one goal and one assist. These performances have caught Udinese’s eye, prompting them to pursue the young defender more aggressively.

The potential deal for Touré comes after Udinese’s interest in van Breemen apparently faded. The club sees Touré as a viable alternative to bolster their backline for the upcoming season.

As negotiations progress, Touré is reportedly awaiting Lorient’s response to Udinese’s approach.
