Udinese seek agreement with Juventus for Facundo Gonzalez

Start

Udinese are making its first moves in the transfer market, with Facundo Gonzalez, a 20-year-old defender, potentially becoming the club’s first acquisition this summer. Gonzalez, who is owned by Juventus, spent last season on loan at Sampdoria in Serie B, marking his first year in Italian football.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Udinese and Juventus are currently working on the terms of the deal. It is expected to be a loan with an option to buy, allowing Udinese the flexibility to assess Gonzalez’s performance before making a permanent commitment.

During his time with Sampdoria in Serie B last season, Gonzalez made a significant impact. He appeared in 30 matches across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. This experience in Italian football, albeit in the second tier, could prove valuable as he potentially steps up to Serie A with Udinese.

The move could benefit all parties involved. Udinese would gain a promising young defender to bolster their squad, Juventus could see one of their young talents gain valuable top-flight experience, and Gonzalez himself would have the opportunity to establish himself in Serie A.
