Timothy Weah: ‘I take inspiration from Juan Cuadrado’

Start

New Juventus signing Timothy Weah says former Bianconeri winger Juan Cuadrado is a player who he can take inspiration from. Cuadrado made the switch to Inter this week after almost a decade in Turin, and speaking at his first official press conference, Weah explained why the Colombian veteran is a player he can look up to and learn from:

“Who do I take inspiration from? I can take inspiration from Cuadrado’s plays, he has similar characteristics to mine and it is a great responsibility to take his place: what he has done here is fantastic, he is a legend.”

“Last season I discovered this new position, it comes very natural to me: I tried to adapt to the defensive role and I will play in any position, although my favorite position is on the wings,”

“Arriving here already my thoughts were that I knew this would be a big challenge. I have listened to the coach and the other players. I will push myself begin my limits. When they call on me I will be ready to play.”

“Allegri? I met him as soon as I arrived, he is a very good person as well as a great coach. He told me that I can learn from him but also from my teammates. I am very happy to be here, I hope I can improve more and more.”

“Coming to Juventus was very easy for me, as soon as I heard of their interest I wanted to come here. Obviously my dad has always supported me and has always been a Juventus fan. I’m very happy and proud to be here.”
