New Inter striker Marcus Thuram says joining the Nerazzurri this summer ‘wasn’t an easy choice’ but it was ‘the right move’. The French international made the switch to Milan this summer as a free agent, and speaking with L’Equipe, he explained why Inter won out in the end:
“Why did I choose Inter? I did negotiate with many clubs and it wasn’t an easy choice. I knew that whatever decision I made would define my career. And picking Inter is the right move.”
“Inter over PSG? I am not asking anyone to understand my choice. I know why I chose Inter. I know those who know football know what Inter represent and the immense players that the club has had in its history.
“When we put on this shirt, it’s like we are wearing history. There is an extraordinary enthusiasm here: when I see fans on the streets they often talk about the upcoming match.”
