As the third round of Champions League approaches, Juventus are set to face Stuttgart at the Allianz Stadium. On the eve of the match, Juventus manager Thiago Motta shared his thoughts with Sky Sport and during a press conference.
Motta began by addressing the team’s current situation: “We’re not thinking about qualification yet. We have some important players returning. For now, we’re without Koopmeiners and Nico Gonzalez. McKennie could start, but all available players are potential starters.”
Discussing the upcoming opponent, Motta said: “They played their first match in Madrid where they even deserved to win. They conceded two goals in the end, but they played very well. In the first half against Bayern Munich in the league, they held their own. They have great players who make the difference. Stuttgart wants to control the game, and in their last match, they faced a team that doesn’t allow you to do that.”
Reflecting on substitutions and team dynamics, Motta added: “In the match against Lazio, Danilo’s entry gave us much more rhythm. Fagioli also allowed us to increase our speed. In the second half, we created more chances and had more shots on goal.”
Motta emphasized the importance of fan support: “Patience? The players must live the match, also with the help of the fans. We are fortunate to have supporters who stand by the team. It gives them great strength.”
