Juventus are preparing for a crucial Champions League match against Club Brugge, riding high on recent momentum from their victory against Milan. Manager Thiago Motta expressed confidence and determination in the pre-match press conference, alongside midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.
“Our goal is to win tomorrow,” Motta stated emphatically. “We have two matches against strong teams, but our concentration is on delivering a great performance tomorrow.”
Addressing player availability, Motta confirmed most of his squad is ready, with only Bremer, Cabal, and Milik unavailable. “I’m happy because I have alternatives to start and during the match,” he explained.
Regarding Club Brugge, Motta praised the opponent: “They’re an excellent team, complicated to face. We are prepared for everything and must deliver an outstanding performance to win.”
The manager was particularly complimentary of young talent Samuel Mbangula, noting his rapid development: “He’s had a very good evolution. Last year he played in Next Gen, was formed in our youth sector. He’s an example of quality over quantity of playing time.”
On potential lineup decisions, Motta remained characteristically cryptic about Dusan Vlahovic’s starting status: “Against Milan, he was out due to technical choice. Now we have many options. It’s not about minutes, but quality – that’s our philosophy.”
Reflecting on their recent victory against Milan, Motta emphasized continuous improvement: “We’re happy we won, but we’ve played many good games without transforming them into victories. I’m satisfied with our growth, but now we need consistency.”
