Juventus manager Thiago Motta expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance following their 3-0 win against Hellas Verona. Speaking to DAZN after the match, Motta highlighted the importance of the team’s aggressive pressing and collective effort.
Discussing Juventus’ first goal, Motta emphasized the team’s attitude: “You can see the group’s approach. When pressing the opponent, you take risks, but if you recover the ball high up the pitch, you can be dangerous immediately.”
The coach praised Dusan Vlahovic’s performance, noting his contribution in both attack and defense. Motta also commended the overall defensive effort, stating, “It’s an important phase. We need everyone. Our attackers helped tremendously, assisting those behind them to better read the pressing moments. It’s crucial to have this balance between defensive and offensive phases.”
Motta expressed his satisfaction with the young players’ performances, attributing their success to their talent and mentality. He emphasized that while the coaching staff provides support, the players are ultimately the protagonists on the field.
Reflecting on the match and fan support, Motta noted, “At the beginning of the game, we faced a team that was waiting to exploit our smallest mistake. Reading the game is important. We have players to attack the depth – Dusan, Kenan, Samu, and also Nicolò Savona. It’s a beautiful attitude to see, and it’s also evident with our fans. Today there were 3,500 people, and the boys are showing their desire to do well.”
Looking ahead to the upcoming match against Roma, Motta expressed excitement: “I see a beautiful game to play, in our home. We will prepare well and do our best together with our fans to achieve the result we want.”
