Juventus secured their second consecutive victory in the Champions League under Thiago Motta’s leadership, following up their win against PSV with an impressive performance against RB Leipzig. After the match, Motta shared his thoughts on the team’s display.
The Juventus coach began by praising the overall performance: “We played a good game right from the first half. We played well even though there were some technical mistakes. In the second half, despite being down to 10 men, we did even better.”
Motta was quick to deflect praise onto his players, emphasizing their bravery on the pitch: “The courage wasn’t mine, but that of my players. The team gave me the feeling that they were truly convinced of what we had discussed before the game. We did very well until the last minute.”
When asked about Juventus’ objectives in the Champions League and the condition of key players Bremer and Nico Gonzalez, Motta remained cautious: “It’s too early to understand what we can do in the Champions League. We need to fully understand how Bremer and Nico are doing. We need to do some tests to understand what the problem might be, and we hope it’s minor.”
