Tchaouna Opens Door to Bologna Move as Lazio Weigh Decision

Start

Loum Tchaouna, Lazio’s promising 21-year-old winger, has reportedly expressed openness to a potential move to Bologna as the January transfer window enters its final days. The French U21 international, who joined Lazio last summer from Salernitana, has struggled to secure a regular starting position under manager Marco Baroni this season.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Bologna, currently in need of attacking reinforcements due to Riccardo Orsolini’s injury, have identified Tchaouna as a prime target to bolster their squad. The Emilian club has initiated talks with Lazio regarding a possible transfer, with both loan and permanent options being considered.

Tchaouna’s willingness to consider the move stems from his limited playing time at Lazio, where he has made 15 Serie A appearances this season, totalling 423 minutes and scoring once. In the Europa League, he has shown glimpses of his potential with one goal and one assist in seven matches.

Lazio now face a crucial decision regarding Tchaouna’s future. The club must weigh the benefits of retaining the young talent against the potential for immediate reinforcement in other areas. Should Lazio agree to the transfer, it could pave the way for their own market moves, including pursuits of Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei and Strasbourg defender Abakar Sylla.
