Roma striker Tammy Abraham is set to play his first appearance of the 2023-24 season when he returns to action against Lecce. After being sidelined for an extended period due to an ACL injury sustained last June, the Englishman is poised to make his much-anticipated comeback after getting the all -clear.
The English forward recently took part in group training sessions led by manager Daniele De Rossi, marking his first involvement since his injury setback.
Under the watchful eye of the coaching staff, Abraham’s recovery progress is being closely monitored to ensure his well-being and to gradually reintegrate him into full team activities ahead of Roma’s upcoming Serie A fixture against Lecce.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Abraham is expected to be included in the squad for the trip to Salento and could potentially make his season debut towards the latter stages of the match. Roma aim to carefully manage his playing time as they gradually increase his involvement in the remaining weeks of the campaign.
