Slovakian international Stanislav Lobotka has reportedly renewed his contract with Napoli with only an official announcement pending. The 28-year-old has been a vital part of the Partenopei’s push to the top of the table, becoming a mainstay of coach Luciano Spalletti’s starting XI and the heartbeat of their midfield.
Interest in Lobotka had grown prior to the international break, but talks were also underway over a new deal with Napoli, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport and a number of others.
Sky Sport Italia now report that the midfielder has signed a new contract that will tie him to the club for another two years, taking him up to June 2027 with the Azzurri. The official announcement is expected in January with the player retaining an option to extend for another season.
Real Madrid were one of a number of European sides monitoring the situation of the Slovakia international who has made 21 appearances in all competitions so far for Napoli this season, scoring one goal.
