Transfer journalist Nicolo Schira reports that Spurs scouts were present for Sassuolo’s 2-1 defeat to Inter at the Mapei stadium at the weekend with the intention of watching Frattesi. According to Schira, Tottenham director Fabio Paratici is a big fan of the youngster and has been following his career for some time.
Meanwhile, Eurosport report that United have also sent scouts to watch Frattesi in recent weeks, but they will face opposition from Spurs, Brighton and West Ham, alongside Serie A clubs Roma and Milan.
The Italy international joined Sassuolo in 2017 having spent his youth career with Roma and had breakthrough seasons with both Monza and Empoli in Serie B.
