Southampton are reportedly looking to sign Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulmand and have already made an €11m offer. The Danish international only joined the Giallorossi in 2021 when they paid €170,000 to Admira Wacker for his services but he’s been a key part of Marco Baroni’s team in Serie A this season.
Sky Sport Italia transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Southampton have now put forward a €11m offer for the 23-year-old but there’s no word yet if Lecce will accept the offer.
Di Marzio writes that it will take a few days to see if the deal takes off for Hjulmand who still has another year left on his contract with the club.
Hjulmand has provided four assists in 17 appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia so far this season and has helped the Giallorossi up to 14th place.
