A report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg suggests that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is open to joining Bayern Munich. The 24-year-old is currently out through injury but is considered to be one of the best forwards in Europe at the moment, attracting attention from the likes of Manchester United and PSG in recent months.
Plettenberg writes that Osimhen would ‘definitely join Bayern’ in the summer, suggesting that there may already be a move lined up for the Nigerian international. The former Lille man has suggested that he would like to play in the Premier League one day, suggesting that he may make the move this summer, given that he has no shortage of suitors.
The report also claims that Bayern bosses are big fans of the Napoli man and the player and his management are well aware of the strong interest from the German champions. The suggestion is that much will depend on the price, with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis reportedly sticking to his guns on a €100m valuation of the striker, as well as coach Thomas Tuchel’s input on the deal.
Osimhen has scored 30 goals in all competitions for club and country this season, 21 of them coming in Serie A, as well as four in the Champions League campaign.
