Milan Skriniar, the Slovakian defender currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain, has once again voiced his discontent with his current situation at the club. Speaking from the national team camp, Skriniar reiterated his unhappiness with the limited playing time he’s receiving under coach Luis Enrique.
The former Inter Milan player, who has become a target for several clubs including Juventus, especially with the January transfer window approaching, didn’t mince words about his predicament:
“I’m fine. The situation is what it is, and I’m certainly not happy, but the only thing I can influence is that I will continue to train well and work hard,” Skriniar stated.
When asked if he had discussed the issue with Luis Enrique, Skriniar revealed, “No, because the coach doesn’t talk about these things. Of course, I would like to have more opportunities, but the team is formed by the coach and I respect his decisions.”
Despite his frustration, Skriniar remains professional in his approach: “I can’t control these things. I can only influence what I’ve already said, which is to keep myself in the best possible shape, train well, and if the opportunity arises, try to seize it and prove to everyone that I have what it takes.”
The defender also shed light on his summer transfer situation: “In the summer, there were many options because I was told that I wouldn’t be used as much as last season. Together with the club, the coach, and the general manager, we decided it would be better for me to stay and fight for a chance.”
