Sevilla and Inter Milan are reportedly on the verge of finalizing a transfer deal for French Under-21 midfielder Lucien Agoume. The 22-year-old, who spent the latter half of last season on loan with Sevilla, is set to make a permanent move to the Spanish club.
Agoume’s time at Inter Milan has been characterized by limited first-team opportunities, leading to a series of loan spells. His brief stint with Sevilla last season seems to have impressed the Andalusian club enough to pursue a permanent transfer.
Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that despite having a previous option to buy Agoume for €8 million, Sevilla declined to exercise it at the end of his loan. However, they have maintained interest in the player and are now negotiating a lower fee, reportedly in the range of €3-5 million plus a percentage of any future sale.
The young midfielder’s career has seen him gain experience at various clubs, including Spezia, Brest, and Troyes, as he sought regular playing time away from Inter Milan. Now, it appears he may find a more permanent home in Seville.
As negotiations reach their final stages, both clubs are expected to conclude the deal soon, allowing Agoume to continue his development at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. This transfer could mark a significant step in Agoume’s career, providing him with a stable platform to showcase his talents in La Liga.
