Sevilla 2-1 Juventus : Player Ratings

Start

Juventus took the lead through Dusan Vlahovic, but an equaliser from Suso followed by a late winner from Erik Lamela, ends their Europa League hopes for this season.

Juventus

Szczesny: Exceptional saves in the first half, the kind that would make Buffon proud. Continued to keep Juventus in the game with some spectacular stops. One of his best performances of the season, despite the two Sevilla goals. 8.0/10

Danilo: A captains performance, given how well he defended. Got caught napping once in the second half, but otherwise, he was everywhere, closing down Sevilla counterattacks and trying to lead by example. 7.5/10

Bremer: Excellent on the ground and in the air, had the measure of El-Nesryi for large spells and could have scored a goal of his own when presented with a chance. 7.0/10

Gatti: Brilliant header to force a save from Bono early in the first half and he was very good overall, but his lack of experience at this level caught him out on a few occasions. 6.5/10

Cuadrado: Very shaky in the opening half, capped off by a very risky challenge that probably should have resulted in a penalty. Looked off the pace at times as well. A little disappointing. 5.5/10

Fagioli: Wicked set-piece delivery to set up a good chance for Gatti, was putting in a really solid performance until having to come off. 6.0/10

Locatelli: Quiet for large spells and didn’t really leave a mark on the game, but defensively, he was sound. 5.5/10

Rabiot: Made some brilliant runs forward, set up Di Maria in the first half and had a great chance of his own that was right at Bono. A constant threat. 7.0/10

Iling Jr: Some good forays into the opposition half, but not at his explosive normal best. Perhaps still better from the bench. 6.0/10

Di Maria: Put clean through by Rabiot and made the wrong choice in shooting rather than squaring to Kean. Dwelled on the ball too long at times and was caught out far too often. Very poor. 4.5/10

Kean: Really bright in the opening exchanges, and almost put Juve ahead, but for the far post. Had another chance that went just wide, and he was very decent leading the front line. 6.5/10

Substitutions:

Paredes: Very good delivery on the set-pieces. 6.0/10

Vlahovic: An instant impact, on for less than 5 mins before opening the scoring. Excellent 7.0/10

Chiesa: Very poor, lost the ball far too many times and that led to Sevilla’s goals. Had to be so much better at this level. 4.0/10

Miretti: N/A

Milik: N/A
