The landscape of jersey sponsorships in Serie A for the 2024/25 season has seen some significant shifts, according to a recent report by La Gazzetta dello Sport. Inter Milan have taken the top spot, closely followed by their city rivals AC Milan, while Juventus finds themselves outside the top 10 rankings. Fiorentina has surprisingly secured a podium position, while Lazio languishes at the bottom of the list.
This season, the total revenue from jersey sponsorships in Serie A amounts to approximately €180 million, a notable decrease from the €230 million generated in the 2023-24 season. The league has maintained its regulations from 2018-19, allowing clubs to display four brand logos on their match jerseys, in addition to the technical supplier: two on the front (main sponsor and co-sponsor, maximum 350 cm²), one on the left sleeve (100 cm²), and one on the back (200 cm²). This diversification of sponsorship spaces has proven particularly beneficial for mid-to-small sized clubs, enabling them to boost their income.
The significant drop in overall revenue can be largely attributed to Juventus parting ways with their long-standing sponsor Jeep, resulting in a loss of €45 million. While Cygames remains as their back sponsor (worth €4 million), the club is still in negotiations for a new main sponsor, working with the agency Two Circles. In the interim, they continue to feature their collaboration with Save The Children on their jerseys.
Meanwhile, both Milan clubs have surpassed Juventus in sponsorship revenue. Inter Milan has secured a deal with Betsson worth €30 million, which has been approved by Agcom and does not violate the Dignity Decree. Additionally, they earn €6 million from sleeve sponsor Gate.io and have retained U-Power as their back sponsor for €5 million, totaling €41 million across the three contracts.
AC Milan follows closely, receiving approximately €30 million from main partner Emirates and an additional €5 million from sleeve sponsor MSC, bringing their total to €35 million. It remains to be seen whether they will secure a new back sponsor following the expiration of their agreement with WeFox.
