Serie A | Juventus v Venezia: Probable starting lineups

Start

Juventus’ injury woes are easing as they prepare to host Venezia in Serie A on Saturday. The Bianconeri have seen several key players return to action, with Dusan Vlahovic, Weston McKennie, Nicolo Savona, and Douglas Luiz all featuring in Wednesday’s match against Manchester City. Nico Gonzalez is also poised for a comeback, providing a significant boost to Thiago Motta’s squad.

However, the Turin giants are not entirely out of the woods. Long-term absentees Juan Cabal and Bremer remain sidelined with ACL injuries, while Arkadiusz Milik is still unavailable. Full-backs Andrea Cambiaso and Jonas Rouhi have been ruled out for the upcoming fixture, and coach Motta will be serving a touchline suspension.

The match could showcase some of Serie A’s brightest young talents. Juventus duo Kenan Yildiz and Samuel Mbangula, who scored the equalizer against Bologna, are expected to feature. They, along with Venezia’s Gaetano Oristanio, are among the four youngest players to record multiple goals and assists in the league this season.

Venezia’s attack will likely be spearheaded by Joel Pohjanpalo, with Oristanio operating behind him. The visitors also bring a familiar face to Turin in Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, a former Juventus youth product who has been impressive for Venezia, outscoring all of Juve’s central midfielders combined this season.

Venezia coach Eusebio Di Francesco, recently backed by the club’s board, will have to contend with the absences of Alfred Duncan and Richie Sagrado due to injury as he seeks to upset his former employers.

Venezia (3-4-2-1): Stankovic; Altare, Svoboda, Idzes; Zampano, Andersen, Nicolussi Caviglia, Ellertsson; Busio, Oristanio; Pohjanpalo
