Genoa staged a remarkable comeback to salvage a 2-2 draw against Bologna in a thrilling Serie A encounter at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The match began with Bologna dominating proceedings, as Riccardo Orsolini tested Genoa goalkeeper Nicola Leali on multiple occasions. The visitors finally broke the deadlock when Orsolini’s deflected shot wrong-footed Leali to give Bologna the lead.
Bologna doubled their advantage early in the second half through Jens Odgaard, who capitalized on poor defending to fire home from the edge of the area. At 2-0 down, Genoa looked destined for another defeat in what has been a difficult season so far.

The draw maintains Genoa’s unbeaten home record against Bologna, stretching back to 2016. For the visitors, it represents another missed opportunity after failing to hold onto a lead – a recurring issue for Thiago Motta’s side this season.
