AC Milan President Paolo Scaroni has reaffirmed the club’s commitment to building a new stadium while keeping options open regarding potential locations. Speaking at the traditional UEFA lunch preceding European competition matches, Scaroni addressed the ongoing stadium situation ahead of Milan’s evening clash with Liverpool at San Siro.

Scaroni emphasized the club’s determination to construct a new venue, stating, “AC Milan is firmly committed to building a new stadium, engaging with a great sense of responsibility towards our fans, to make the club more competitive internationally. Therefore, we must explore any possibility presented to us.”

The Milan president ruled out the option of renovating the current San Siro stadium, explaining, “The hypothesis of renovating the Meazza, for example, did not meet certain criteria required by the clubs, although it was a high-quality project in line with the level of a leading international company like WeBuild.”

Regarding the club’s priorities, Scaroni clarified, “Our position remains clear: we continue to invest in the San Donato project, but we remain open to listening to the responses that the Municipality of Milan will give us.”
