Nicolò Savona’s agent explained how his first Serie A goal for Juventus against Hellas Verona marked the culmination of a 13-year journey that began when he joined the club’s youth academy at the age of eight.
Matthias Veneroso, Savona’s agent, shared insights into the player’s development: “Nicolò was born and raised at Juventus. This is his home.” Veneroso emphasized that Savona’s recent success is the result of continuous hard work since his arrival at the club.
A pivotal moment in Savona’s career came during a brief loan spell at SPAL. “When he returned from SPAL, something clicked in his mind,” Veneroso explained. “Being away from Juve and all its certainties triggered something. Since he started in the Primavera, he’s had a linear path, always contributing positively and improving year after year.”
This summer, Savona renewed his contract with Juventus and joined the first team. Veneroso praised the club’s youth development: “Credit must be given to the club, which is working very well with young players. The Next Gen project is a testament to this. Nicolò spent two years with Next Gen and proved he was ready for something different.”
Regarding Savona’s integration into the first team, Veneroso noted, “It was a great emotion for him. He feels the Juve shirt on him and has a great attachment. Emotions should be experienced, but not given excessive weight. One must stay focused.”
Veneroso highlighted Savona’s approach to his career: “Nicolò’s dream is to improve every Sunday. He should be happy but aware, without thinking of distant dreams. This has been his approach so far, and he’s reaping the rewards. This is not an end point, but the beginning of something that comes from this work.”
