Sassuolo are reportedly closing in on the signing of Feyenoord right-back Marcus Pedersen on a five-year contract. The Neroverdi are looking to reinforce their back-line following the departure of Brazilian full-back Rogerio and have turned their attentions to 23-year-old Pedersen.
Transfer journalist Daniele Longo reports that Sassuolo are close to a ‘big coup’ as they look set to sign the young Norwegian for around €7 million in a deal that is being managed by ‘Team Raiola’. Pedersen is expected to sign a contract with the Neroverdi until 2028.
The Norway international came through the ranks with Tromsø before making a name for himself with FC Molde. He went on to spend two seasons with Feyenoord where he made 87 appearances, scoring one goal in the Eredivisie.
