Maurizio Sarri believes his Lazio side were more ‘concentrated’ in their 1-0 win against Feyenoord in the Champions League. Ciro Immobile scored the only goal of the game, and Sarri explained in the post-match that he was content to let the opposition have more of the ball this time round:
“We played a concentrated game, even in the moments of suffering. They have great dribbling quality and are a goal machine however we managed to restrict them. In the last 20 minutes there were margins to be able to hurt them with counter attacks, hopefully we didn’t pay a high price for the injured.”
“Injured players? I don’t know how they are , however, there is some concern.”
“The game? It was a choice to go out little with the central defenders because they have a lot of use of the goalkeeper creating superiority. We decided to let them have possession.”
