Maurizio Sarri says he’s grateful for the support of the Olimpico when they went a goal down in their 2-1 win over Frosinone. The Biancocelesti went behind from the penalty spot but turned the match around with goals from Valentín Castellanos, Gustav Isaksen and Patric. Speaking in the post-match, Sarri explained why the performance gave him confidence going forward:
“There are some aspects that make me confident, for example the reaction of the stadium when we went under because they could have booed us and instead they supported us. After the 1-1 we took the lead in a strong manner”.
“Castellanos has grown, Isaksen came from a different league to this one: they are both growing very well. Castellanos had a weight to take off and he did it with the goal. Patric and Gila are doing very well, they are very fast guys. The pitch remains, however, unplayable”.
“Kamada, by culture, is a much less expansive and more closed guy: it’s difficult to bring out what he lacks, I’m still confident. Felipe Anderson started well, then he got confused and went off”.
