Santiago Giménez Emerges as Top Target for AC Milan

Start

AC Milan are widening their search for a new striker for manager Sergio Conceição, with Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord emerging as the primary target. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that after extensive evaluations of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, the Rossoneri have shifted their focus to the Mexican forward.

Santiago Giménez has become Milan’s top attacking priority. The 23-year-old Mexican striker, who currently plays for Feyenoord, has been under close scrutiny by the club’s technical team. With 13 goals in 17 appearances this season, Giménez represents an attractive option for Milan’s offensive lineup.

The negotiations are in an active phase, with contacts expected to continue in the coming days. Milan are prepared to table an offer around €40 million, though Feyenoord are known to be a tough negotiator and reluctant to sell during the winter transfer window.

Should the Giménez negotiations stall, Milan have identified Dodi Lukebakio from Sevilla as an alternative. This demonstrates the club’s determination to strengthen their attacking options under new manager Conceição.

Milan’s approach involves careful financial planning. The club are looking to generate funds through potential player sales, including Emerson Royal and Strahinja Pavlovic, to finance the attacking reinforcement. Additionally, they are exploring loan options for players like João Félix as potential alternatives.
