Lazar Samardzic, Atalanta’s new summer signing from Udinese, is set to make his home debut against Fiorentina. The midfielder shared his thoughts and excitement with the club’s official channels ahead of the match, explaining why he’s keen to feature in the Champions League.
Samardzic expressed his eagerness to play at the Gewiss Stadium: “We are all ready, we can’t wait any longer. It will be my first game in the new stadium and I’m looking forward to it. The old stadium was always full, and now there are two more sections to accommodate even more fans.”
While acknowledging the upcoming Champions League fixture against Arsenal, Samardzic emphasized the importance of the immediate task at hand: “Playing in the Champions League against Arsenal will be a great emotion, but first we must focus on Fiorentina.
