Udinese manager Kosta Runjaic addressed the media in a pre-match press conference, offering insights into the team’s current state and individual player performances as they prepare to face Como.
Runjaic began by praising Florian Thauvin’s contributions to the team, stating, “Thauvin is taking on a lot of responsibility. He’s a player of great class, there’s no need to constantly repeat that.”
The manager then discussed Jordan Zemura’s prospects, saying, “Zemura had a good pre-season. That’s his position, so this could be his opportunity to get minutes.”
Addressing Sandi Lovric’s performance, Runjaic expressed higher expectations: “I expect more from Lovric.” He also hinted at future opportunities for Pizzarro, saying, “Pizzarro will have chances throughout the season.”
Regarding new signing Alexis Sanchez, Runjaic cautioned patience: “It will take a bit more time for Sanchez.”
The manager had high praise for Lorenzo Lucca’s development, stating, “Lucca is growing a lot. He has the potential to reach the national team.”
Runjaic also commented on young talent Iker Bravo: “Iker Bravo is a great player. He could have come on against Lazio if we hadn’t been reduced to ten men. I preferred to spare him from making his debut in a game that had become difficult.”
