Roma’s Zaleweski accused of betting on himself during match

Roma youngster Nicola Zalewski is the fourth player to be accused of involvement in an illegal betting ring. An investigation has already been launched into the betting activities of Nicolò Fagioli, Sandro Tonali and Nicolò Zaniolo, and La Repubblica claim that Zalewski is the latest player to be accused of placing bets.

The newspaper cites Fabrizio Corona, a media personality who has revealed the details of a number of players who are allegedly involved in placing bets through illegal platforms.

La Repubblica write that Zalewski bet on himself to be booked in the match between Roma and Salernitana on May 22: he received a yellow card in the 94th minute.

Corona also claims that Francesca FrancescaCosta, the mother of footballer Nicolo Zaniolo was involved in an illegal betting ring. and ‘managed her son’s business.
