Roma set to welcome Matias Soulé: Medical scheduled for Monday morning

Start

Roma are on the verge of completing the signing of Matias Soulé from Juventus, with the young Argentine forward set to undergo his medical examination on Monday morning. The 21-year-old is expected to arrive in Rome on Sunday evening, July 28th, to begin his new adventure with the Giallorossi.

Soulé’s imminent move was signaled by his absence from Juventus’ recent friendly match against Nuremberg, where he remained on the bench by mutual agreement with manager Thiago Motta. This decision was made to avoid any potential injury risks ahead of his transfer.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the deal between Juventus and Roma is reported to be worth €30 million, including fixed fees and bonuses. This transfer marks the end of Soulé’s time with the Bianconeri, following a successful loan spell at Frosinone last season.

During his time at Frosinone, Soulé impressed with his goal-scoring ability, netting 11 times in 39 appearances across Serie A and Coppa Italia, while also providing 3 assists. His performances caught the eye of several clubs, but it’s Roma who have secured his services.

Prior to his loan move, Soulé had limited opportunities at Juventus, scoring just one goal in 21 appearances between 2021 and 2023. The move to Roma represents a significant opportunity for the young talent to establish himself as a regular starter in Serie A.
